December Snow

We've had a wild week of weather here in the Portland Metro area. These pictures were taken on the first day of snow, Sunday, December 14th.

Playing out in the snow with our neighborhood friends...

Daddy & Siena...Siena didn't move much (too bundled up & her boots are too big), but she sure laughed a lot watching the older kids play in the snow. We all had fun!

Siena turns 2!

Our "baby" turned 2 on December 5, 2008. We can hardly believe how quickly she is growing up. To celebrate her birthday, we had a toddler birthday party with 4 of her neighborhood friends. It was quick...11 am until 12:30...with free play, simple organized games and songs, a craft, lunch, a letter hunt (to find the party gift bags), and finally gifts. Siena enjoyed her friends and the activities.

Gift opening...lots of nice presents.

Siena doesn't look too happy here, but she really does love Haley & her mommy so much. The girls always have the best time together.

Later in the afternoon, when Siena woke up from her nap, she opened some family gifts...

For dinner, Siena wanted "fish" and rice. We also had broccoli and carrots, which she usually enjoys. Uncle Steve Filary came to help celebrate Siena's birthday, too.

Siena's BIG gift from Mommy & Dadd was a train table with tracks ready to go for her Thomas the Tank Engine (her absolute favorite toy!). Some of the table pieces were damaged, and so we weren't able to have it put together completely in time for her birthday, but the table top was ready to go! Fun! Siena was also thrilled to get a couple of friends for Thomas: Murdoch & Billy.

Some of these photos are slightly out of chronological order, but here they are...
Some of Siena's October artwork & crafts:

This tree was created by Siena and Haley (& Mommy):

Siena and Mommy visited Grandma and Grandpa Braley early in November, and then brought Grandma home with us for part of a week. Then Grandpa came up to get her and spend the weekend with us. It was nice to spend the week with them after being away for a couple of months.

Siena is on Mommy's OLD trike that Grandma had fixed up.

The Wiznerowicz Family was anticipating a Democratic win for the presidency on Election Day and were prepared for it with a celebration cake. :)

Let's try pigtails for once...and what a grin!

Siena LOVES to swing!

The 3 of us went to Zoo Lights on Thanksgiving weekend. It was fabulous!

We had Steve & Lori over for Thanksgiving dinner, and some neighborhood friends came to join us for dessert.

TRIP TO MICHIGAN, OCTOBER 2-7, 2008:
Michael, Siena, and I had an enjoyable trip to visit family in Michigan.
Here Siena is brushing some teeth at the Saginaw Children's Museum. (Grandma and Grandpa Kelsey took us there, and we all had LOADS of fun!!!)
Playing at the water station with Daddy, Grandma, & Grandpa.

Siena had her face painted at the Saginaw Zoo. (First face painting experience!) Siena did a GREAT job sitting still for the few minutes it took to paint the little piggy, that Siena chose, on her face.

Siena and I went to the Saginaw Zoo with Grandma and Grandpa Kelsey while Michael was at the Detroit Lion's game with his dad. Thanks Grandma & Grandpa Kelsey for the fun afternoon! It was fun to go on a train ride AND a carousel ride at the zoo..fun place!

Siena loves her Grandpa and Grandma!

We visited with Grandpa Wiznerowicz and Grandma Trish.

We were able to drive up for a visit with Michael's sister, Tina, and her son, Jason. We all went to Tawas Bay for lunch, a trip to the park, and some shopping. Siena loved having the opportunity to swing...a favorite activity!

September 2008 Photos

Siena's friend, Haley, comes to spend each Wednesday morning with us. The girls really enjoy each other's company, and we do some fun projects on that special day together.
At 21 months old, Siena is already fascinated by LEDs like her daddy. I told Michael that he's going to need to install a work station for her in his project room in a couple of years. With a smile he said, "I know."

Siena with her friend, Christian.

Hip-hip-hooray! The beach is so much fun today!!!
Playing in the sand at the North Jetty Beach near Florence, Oregon, when we went to Grandma's & Grandpa's house earlier this month.

Aunt Michelle and Siena dig into that sand!

Siena and her good friend, Haley, really enjoy Siena's new tent from her Grandma and Grandpa Kelsey.Cheryl's sisters, Michelle & Annette, as well as her parents, came to visit us for a few days after our camping trip. Michelle flew in from New Jersey, and Annette came from Washington. It was nice to all be together. We had a lot of fun! Here we are at the Rose Garden in Portland's Washington Park.

At the end of our camping trip with Grandma & Grandpa Braley at Fort Steven's State Park we went to Seaside for lunch and a carousel ride. Much fun!

Siena thoroughly enjoyed the playground at the campground!

We were fortunate to have such beautiful weather on September 2nd, our one full day of being at the camp. We enjoyed some time at the beach, which was just a mile walk away from our campsite.

The shipwreck at the beach. Fort Steven's State Park was really a great place with so much to do. We had a great time!

It is so wonderful not to have to set up a tent...the yurt made camping so easy.
