Siena's First Halloween!

Siena had a full first Halloween. Siena and I started off the afternoon by watching my former school's Halloween parade. Then early this evening we took her trick-or-treating to a few of our neighbors' houses. (Michael and I have to agree that Halloween has never been this fun, but then again, Siena makes almost everything fun!)

Getting ready to go trick-or-treating...

Siena's first house to trick-or-treat.

Siena was an adorable pumpkin. Mommy decided to dress up as a cat...Siena's favorite animal! (Just ask Misty, our cat!) ;)

With our good friends/neighbors.

The Days Leading Up To Halloween

Siena's second time eating country vegetable chicken soup. (First soup, first times eating chicken.) Yum! Yum!

Fun with the leaves from our walk at Summerlake Park (Oct. 26th).

Jackie and Steve came over for dinner and pumpkin carving. It was a lot of fun, and Siena enjoyed teething on jack-o-lantern lids.

The babes were all dressed up in their Halloween Costumes for playgroup. So cute!

Siena is eating her first cracker all by herself!

Living Room/Library Painted and Updated

We painted our front room (living room) and turned it into our library with these shelves that we bought and put together. This room will finally be complete once we put some drapes or valances up to help dress up the room. We're very excited about the fun color, Sweet Baby Rose!

Books, Food, Babysitter, & Grandparents

We really enjoyed Grandma and Grandpa Braley's visit this month. They enjoyed watching Siena CRAWL all over. (She starting crawling on October 11th, and she's very fast now!) Siena loves her new mobility. :)

Siena is typically an excellent eater. (She is starting to be a little picky at certain meals. We can usually count on her not eating much at one of them. Asserting her power. ;) ) She is really getting into her finger foods, though.

Here Siena is with her babysitter, Vickie.

Siena LOVES her books!!! Taking out many of her books and pouring over them is one of her favorite independent activities. It is really cute! Some of her favorite books are: This Little Chick, Baby Beluga, Chicka Chicka ABC, If You're Happy And You Know It, There's a Cow In The Cabbage Patch, Five Little Pumpkins, and Biscuit's Pet & Play Halloween. She's starting to crawl into our laps and look to us to read her a book. So much fun!

10 Months Old! (October 5, 2007)

Our sweet Siena is 10 months old. It is amazing how quickly the time is going!
This month she is eating more finger foods (steamed broccoli and carrots, kiwi pieces, Cheerios, bread pieces are some of the newer ones). The biggest news is that Siena started CRAWLING on October 11th and now has 2 new teeth (the bottom central incisors). Congratulations, Siena!!!

Pumpkin Patch

Today we went to the pumpkin patch at Lakeview Farms north of Hillsboro with some of our playgroup friends. It was a lot of fun...there was a train that took us to the pumpkin patch and a boat that took us back across the small lake. It was a bit chilly, but we had a great time anyways...no rain...what luck!

Our Big Trip: September 21-October 1, 2007

Michael, Siena, & I flew to Michigan to spend time with Siena's Grandma & Grandpa Kelsey, Grandma Trish & Grandpa Wiznerowicz, and Aunt Tina and cousin, Jason. We were able to visit the Saginaw Zoo, Dow Gardens, Bronner's Christmas World, & the Nature Center's Fall Festival. It was a good time! Siena sure did love all of the attention!!!

We drove from Michigan to New Jersey, passing through Ohio and Pennsylvania. The first night we stayed just outside of Pittsburgh, PA. The next morning we toured Fallingwater, the beautiful Frank Lloyd Wright home. Hershey, PA was our next stop. The Hershey Museum and Hershey Chocolate World were interesting (and the treats were yummy, too)!

We ended our trip by visiting Siena's Aunt Michelle & Uncle Steve in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey, which is just about 45 minutes outside of NYC. We drove into the city both weekend days: on the first day we experienced the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA), on the second day we enjoyed part of Central Park. It was wonderful to be all together AND get to have such fun!
