One of the family's from our playgroup hosted a family bbq. All 8 families from our group were able to attend. It was great to have the dads finally get to meet all of the other moms and babies, and for everyone to meet all of the dads. I was really happy that Michael enjoyed himself so much. :)

Yummy!
Siena is a good little eater. Her favorites are avocado, banana, pear, and yogurt, but she usually will eat almost anything that we feed her. Other menu items for her include: brown rice super porridge, nectarines, peas, sweet potatoes, and egg yolks. We're introducing a new food to her every 4 days, so life is pretty exciting around here! ;)
(Here you see her with yogurt and bits of egg yolk on her face. Cute, eh?)

Siena stands!
About a week ago Siena started to stand (supporting her own weight) when holding our hands for balance. She's very proud of herself, and we are proud of her, too!
She has also started to scoot forward while sitting. Although she isn't crawling yet and doesn't particularly have much of a desire to roll over much, this girl is GOING PLACES! :)
She's a lot of fun!!!
Cheryl's 34th Birthday - July 8th
Cheryl had the best birthday ever with Michael & Siena! After a relaxing morning at home, we headed up the Columbia Gorge where we hiked the Horsetail Falls trail. Afterwards, we ate dinner at McMenamin's Edgefield. It was a beautiful day! (And Siena seemed to really enjoy the hike. Do we have a nature lover?) ;)

The Fourth of July
We drove back home to Tigard on the 4th of July. That evening our neighborhood had quite the show, and from our neighbor's deck we could see Tigard's fireworks, as well as other cities' shows since we live on Bull Mountain. Siena enjoyed the sparkly, quiet fireworks...so EXCITING! (She could have done without the loud ones though.) ;)
Our trip to the Oregon Coast, June 30-July4
The 3 of us took a trip to the Oregon Coast June 30-July4. We stayed the night with my parents in Florence, and then brought my mom along with us to Gold Beach (on the Southern Oregon Coast). She stayed with Siena's Great-Grandma Duvall for two nights while Michael, Siena, and I stayed at the Inn of the Beachcomber. Our room was very comfortable, and we enjoyed the beach (it was right on the beach...evening walks were so relaxing!) and our jacuzzi tub on the balcony.
